Potassium dihydrogen phosphate, an inorganic compound, deliquescent, melts into a transparent liquid when heated to 400°C, solidifies into an opaque glassy potassium metaphosphate on cooling. Stable in air, soluble in water, insoluble in ethanol. It is used as buffer and culture agent in industry, and also used as bacterial culture agent, flavoring agent for synthetic sake, raw material for making potassium metaphosphate, culture agent, fortifier, bulking agent and fermentation auxiliary agent for brewing yeast, and used as high efficient phosphorus and potassium compound fertilizer in agriculture.

It should be stored in a ventilated, dry, cool and clean warehouse, avoiding direct sunlight and high temperature and high humidity environment.
